Ruth Edelman (Weisenberg) was born in Los Angeles, California in 1912.
She graduated from Fremont High School Winter of 1931.
She went to work for Bullocks Department
Store in Downtown L.A.
She married David Weisenberg
in May of 1943. They have one daughter, Nancy. They were married for
55 ½ years until Dave passed away.
Ruth also worked for a manufacturing company
for several years, worked in the school cafeteria while Nancy attended school,
and for the Red Cross.
Ruth has lived in her home for over 60 years.
She remains quite self sufficient, other than hearing and sight problems due to age.
She drove until she was 93, having never driven until she was in her early 40’s.
She loves her home, her cat, her daily newspaper, which she reads from cover to cover,
and evening television programs. She also loves to go out to dinner with family and friends.
She still talks about attending her 69th high school reunion.
